The EECS Department is housed in two buildings -- the Technological Institute ("Tech") and the Ford Motor Company Engineering Design Center ("Ford").

Parking: Visitors may obtain a parking pass before arriving on campus from their host. Alternatively, stop at the Parking Office at 1819 Hinman and purchase a one-day visitor's pass which allows parking in most of the lots on campus between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. All other times/dates a permit is not required.  Free street parking can be found within two or three blocks of the Department but is usually limited to two hours.

Directions from O'Hare Airport: (30-45 minutes)

Take I-190 east towards Chicago, exit on I-294 North, then exit on Dempster Street going East.  Drive on Dempster for 10 miles (30 minutes).  Go under railway bridge.  Make left on Chicago Avenue.  Go North on Chicago avenue.  Merge with Sheridan Road going north.  Make a left on Noyes Street. Park on street or in the parking lot at the intersection of Noyes and Sheridan.

Direction from Midway Airport: (1.5 hours)

Take I-55 North, merge on I-90/94 North-West toward Wisconsin. Stay on I-94 and exit on Dempster Street going East.  Drive on Dempster for 5 miles (15 minutes).  Go under railway bridge.  Make left on Chicago Avenue.  Go North on Chicago avenue.  Merge with Sheridan Road going north.  Make a left on Noyes Street. Park on street or in the parking lot at the intersection of Noyes and Sheridan.

Take I-90/94 west from downtown Chicago, stay on I-94 west, exit on Dempster Street going East.  Drive on Dempster for 5 miles (15 minutes).  Go under railway bridge.  Make left on Chicago Avenue.  Go North on Chicago avenue.  Merge with Sheridan Road going north.  Make a left on Noyes Street. Park on street or in the parking lot at the intersection of Noyes and Sheridan.

Directions from West:  

Take I-88 east towards Chicago, exit on I-294 North, then exit on Dempster Street going East.  Drive on Dempster for 10 miles (30 minutes).  Go under railway bridge.  Make left on Chicago Avenue.  Go North on Chicago avenue.  Merge with Sheridan Road going North.  Make a left on Noyes Street. Park on street or in the parking lot at the intersection of Noyes and Sheridan.

Directions from North:  

Take I-294 south I-94 from northern suburbs of Chicago, exit on I-94 east, exit on Skokie Blvd (US 41 south).  Make left on Lake Avenue going East.  Drive on Lake Avenue for 5 miles (15 minutes).  Make right on Sheridan Road.  Stay on Sheridan as it winds down.    Make a right on Noyes Street. Park on street or in the parking lot at the intersection of Noyes and Sheridan.

Directions from parking lot to EECS Department:

From the parking lot, cross Sheridan Road, and enter large grey building called  the Tech Institute (address 2145 Sheridan Road).  Enter through main entrance.  Turn right.  Take elevator on left to the 3^rd floor.  Exit elevator.  The EECS main office (L359 Tech) is to  your right.  The Tech EECS Conference Room (L324 ) is on your left.

The Ford Engineering Building is immediately South of the Tech Institute, at 2133 Sheridan Road. The Ford ITW Room is on the 1st Floor; Enter the building at Ground level and go up to the 1st Floor.
