Nima Haghpanah image

EECS student Nima Haghpanah presented his thesis research at the 2013 Symposium on Foundations of Computer Science held in Berkeley, California on October 27–29.

The joint paper also featured contributions from his advisor Prof. Jason Hartline, and colleagues Hu Fu (MSR) and Saeed Alaei (Cornell).

Haghpanah is a fifth year PhD student and is also a member of EconCS group.

 

His research Interests include: 

  • mechanism design, market design

  • algorithms, approximation, combinatorial optimization

  • algorithmic game theory

  • network design, social networks, diffusion of technologies, social aspects of the Internet
