"Recent status of quantum stream cipher by Y-00 in Japan"
Abstract: Y-00 protocol might be an attractive new quantum cryptography which can realize the ultra high speed data encryption for optical networks. In fact, so far, many remarkable experiments by the basic model have been demonstrated by using phase modulation and intensity modulation schemes. Recently we have demonstrated Y-00 data encryption system of 2.5 Gbps, 200 Km long in a metropolitan network. In this talk, I will give a review on such experiments. In addition, since some Japanese groups still claim that Y-00 security is weak. So I explain what is their criticism, and introduce some reply to them.
