The event will be a typical informal panel group discussion, beginning with a brief introduction (5 - 7 minutes) by each representative company, a questions from a moderator, and then onto Q&A from the audience!
To learn more about the group and RSVP for this event please visit their Meetup page and view their flyer or see below.
Matt Lackey is the Director of Quantitative Analytics at Civis Analytics. In 2008, realizing that his love of analysis and optimization would be put to good use in the Obama campaign, he became the Data Director of Indiana where he did the nearly impossible - turning the deep red state blue for the first time since 1964 (but not the last!).
Rami Jachi is a Senior Consultant aligned with the Data Science and Analytics capability at Clarity Solution Group. Rami founded a web platform that connects local merchants with users most likely to spend at their stores by using a smart algorithm to predict their preferences. Prior to that, Rami worked at the Cambridge Group where he led and developed several models using data to drive strategic decisions for large consumer-facing companies. Rami received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Northwestern.
Tanya Schlusser has been in the analytics space for 3 years. Before that, she spent 6 years developing and deploying combustion equipment for steel mills across the United States. Her doctorate from Northwestern was obtained under the guidance of Moshe Matalon, who had a dual appointment in Applied Math and Mechanical Engineering. She played trumpet in NUMB for 3 years.

His previous experiences include software engineering, startup formation, high-frequency trading including market microstructure modeling and signal development. He has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from U. Chicago and is currently interested in automated approaches to ontology discovery in large, diverse data sets. He is also having fun exploring methods of invariance extraction and testing using elements from algebraic topology.

He graduated from Northwestern MEAS in 2005 with a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Computer Engineering.
