Oliver (Ollie) Cossairt, EECS Assistant Professor and the Lisa Wissner-Slivka and Benjamin Slivka Junior Professor of Computer ScienceWe are pleased to welcome Oliver (Ollie) Cossairt to the department as assistant professor in EECS and Lisa Wissner-Slivka and Benjamin Slivka Junior Professor of Computer Science. Ollie’s research interests lie at the intersection of optics, computer vision and computer graphics.

Ollie writes, “I am fascinated with the idea that cameras can be very finely tuned towards specific purposes, and that doing so can be an excellent way to capture specific visual information.”

He earned his Ph.D. in computer science from Columbia University in September 2011, and spent one year there as a Postdoctoral Researcher before moving to Evanston.

Ollie can be found in the Ford Motor Company Engineering Design Center, on the third floor.
