NATURE OF WORK:
Under the direct supervision of the IT Division Manager, the Database Administrator’s primary responsibility is to shape and develop the City’s Microsoft SQL and Server environment.  We are seeking a subject matter expert that can lead our transition from Oracle to Microsoft SQL.  Additionally, this role will be responsible with assisting the City’s Network Administrators with the maintenance of servers, networking, and VOIP infrastructure.  The database administrator will routinely become involved in projects beyond DB maintenance, and should have a strong server and networking administration skillset.

Anyone with oracle 12 or PIM or PLM, but not required. Will accept entry level. Needs to have aptitude with IT/Engineering background. Industrial engineering or Computer Science degree preferred. Any internship experience or project experience is beneficial. 
You do not have to be interested in programming 100% of the time, because many projects and tasks, especially initially, probably won't require extensive programming knowledge. 
Position is with the configurator development team. This is an Oracle module that allow us to write rules.
