When data sets are large, graph is the key
Jiawei Han, once an assistant professor at Northwestern University, will return to present the next lecture in the EECS Distinguished Speaker Series, on Wednesday March 4th. Han notes that as a general data structure, graph can model complicated relations among data with wide applications in Web, social network analysis, and bioinformatics. Professor Han is currently with the Database and Information Systems Research Lab, Department of Computer Science, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
