Fritz HengleinEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
Fritz Henglein is currently head of the programming languages and algorithms group at DIKU (University of Copenhagen) and is our next Distinguished Speaker. His talk, "Domain-specific languages for next-generation enterprise systems" explains ERP, a complex software system based on a central databse system. Wednesday, April 8th at 4:00 p.m. in the Ford ITW Auditorium. Abstract/Bio

Faculty Activities & Accolades

Don NormanDon Norman gave an invited address at Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) Designer Spotlight Presentation “Sociable Design” on December 17, 2008, and a talk he gave at TED in 2003 has been posted online (ted.com/norman); He was February/March's Featured Scientist of the Month at FABBS; Norman was appointed Visiting Distinguished Professor at KAIST, the Korean Advanced Institue of Science and Technology.

Peter ScheuermannPeter Scheuermann has been appointed Program Co-Chair of the 17th ACM SIGSPATIAL International Conference on Advances in Geographic Information Systems that will take place in Seattle in November.

Donna Heeter joins EECS as Program Assistant for the CAA and CES Divisions. Donna brings with her experience as a consultant and in technical support and website development. Donna's office is located in Tech L466, her phone number is 1-7132.
