EECS Travel Grants Starting September 1, 2009, the EECS department will provide USD $300.00 travel grants for our graduate students, to cover some of the expenses for conference participation. Download and submit the application, below. (Note: This is in addition to the $500 grant you may apply for and receive from TGS.)

Permission number Special note for "instructor consent" courses: Students must speak with the professor listed in CAESAR before requesting a permission number from 'permissions@eecs.northwestern.edu' Juliet Ludwig handles permission numbers and waiting lists. Students should email their requests topermissions(at)eecs.northwestern.edu Emailed requests should contain the following information:
    1) The phrase "permission number" and "course number" in the subject line
    2) Your full name
    3) Major
    4) Year (i.e., freshman, senior, etc.)
    5) Phone number (not required but handy if e-mail bounces back) Permission numbers for TGS courses (all courses that begin with TGS) must be obtained from The Graduate School, 633 Clark Street, Evanston.

Parking: All vehicles parked on the Evanston campus must display a valid permit year round, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Please note that quarterly breaks are not holidays thus permits are required. Contact your host to request a daily permit, or purchase one from the Parking Office, 1819 Hinman Ave ($7). Street parking is free for two hours and can often be found within two blocks of the department. Maps
