Delaunay is awarded IEEE Electron Devices Society PhD Student Fellowship

, Ph.D. candidate in the Center for Quantum Devices group under Prof. Manijeh Razeghi, has been selected as one of the winners of the 2009 IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS) PhD Student Fellowships. More

Faculty Activities & Accolades

Aggelos Katsaggelos taught a short course on "Multimedia Signal Processing, at the University of Granada, and gave a keynote talk on "Current Advances on Video Transmission" on Rodos Island, Greece this Summer.

Aleksandar Kuzmanovic gave an invited talk entitled "Measuring Serendipity: Connecting People, Locations and Interests in a Mobile 3G network," at Telefonica Research in Barcelona, Spain recently.

Prem Kumar has been appointed by the The Optical Society (OSA) Board of Directors to serve as one of the OSA representatives to the Joint Council on Quantum Electronics (JCQE) for a three-year term. Read more

Randy Berry, Program Co-Chair along with Dongning Guo, reports that the 2nd Annual North American School of Information Theory was held at Northwestern University August 10-13, 2009. The School featured short courses and a keynote lecture presented by four distinguished professors on topics related to information theory. Read more
