Hongxia Shen received B.E. in Information Science and Technology and B.M. in Business Administration from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, M.Phil. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Currently, she is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Northwestern University. Her research interests include modeling and control of communication networks through pricing, applied game theory in network economics and incentive mechanism design.
She is a member of the IEEE Communications Society and the IEEE Control Systems Society. She has served as a reviewer for IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, Automatica, IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Signal Processing, Allerton Conference on Communication, Control and Computing, IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, IEEE Internation Conference on Communications, etc.
