I'm an assistant professor at Northwestern University and director of the Tangible Interaction Design and Learning (TIDAL) Lab. I hold a joint appointment in Computer Science and the Learning Sciences, and my research focuses on the intersection of human-computer interaction and learning with a focus on innovative and thoughtful uses of emerging technologies. Some of my recent research projects have included an investigation of multi-touch tabletops in natural history museums and the use of tangible programming languages in kindergarten classrooms and science museums.
